Phoenix is a young red female Shiba Inu with a huge personality, an even bigger voice, and enough affection to make herself at home in just about anyone’s lap.
Born October 1, 2025, Phoenix will be spayed before adoption. She is crate trained, house trained, and knows sit, lay down, and paw. Whether she chooses to acknowledge that she knows those things, or that she can hear you at all, is entirely up to Phoenix.
She is extremely loving, frequently gives her signature airplane ears, and has never met a stranger. Phoenix loves people, enjoys the company of other dogs, and is fine around cats.
She also has a strong little hunter streak and loves chasing lizards. When she is not patrolling for tiny reptiles or playing with another dog, she is perfectly content settling in as a lap dog.
Phoenix has a sensitive stomach and will need a consistent diet and thoughtful food transitions.

She loves everyone and has never met a stranger. She is the kind of dog who can greet the world with enthusiasm and then curl up in your lap as though she has always belonged there.

She will let you know when she is displeased, when she wants something, and especially when she needs to go outside. Her communication style is not subtle, which can be helpful for house training but may not suit someone looking for a particularly quiet dog.

She can play rough, so her dog friends should be comfortable with an energetic, physical play style. Introductions and play should be supervised to make sure everyone is enjoying the same game.

She must be securely leashed when outside unless she is inside a well-secured area. A properly fitted harness, martingale collar, secure leash handling, and careful door and gate management are required.
She should not be left outside unsupervised, even in a fenced yard.
Phoenix needs a home that will enjoy her for exactly who she is: loving, expressive, playful, opinionated, and wonderfully Shiba.
Her ideal people will laugh at her selective hearing, listen when she uses her voice, give her appropriate outlets for play and hunting instincts, and welcome her into their lap when the day winds down.
